Wool People 5

Posted on June 17, 2013 by Rachel Owen | O Comments

Wool People 5 has just arrived at Tangled Yarn! I'm always excited to see what Jared Flood's team has in store for us with each new collection and this one is by no means disappointing.

Brooklyn Tweed work closely with the guest designers from around the world to bring us knitting patterns that are collectively amazing but work individually as one off pieces that are highly desirable to knit and wear! This collection is very much reflective of spring with seven lace shawl designs as well as sweaters, cardigans and cowls to knit now in time for the arrival of colder Autumn days!

Brooklyn Tweed have an strong work ethos and believe in compensating designers fairly for their work, as this plays an important part in sustaining creative energy and quality design.  Their knitting patterns are beautifully produced on high quality card, they are carefully edited and proof checked by Brooklyn Tweed in-house team.

Although initially intended to support Brooklyn Tweed's own yarn Shelter and Loft, they can be easily substituted for other yarns. The key to yarn substitution is to check your gauge and knit a swatch before you cast on your project.

Now for a competition! I have two prizes of five knitting patterns from previous Wool People collections. To win simply leave a comment here on our blog saying why you'd like to win. The two winners will selected at random and announced here on Monday 24th June. Good luck!

Winners Announced

Congratulations to Joanne and Patrizia, you have both be selected to win the Brooklyn Tweed patterns. I will be in touch shortly for postal details.

Thank you to everyone that took part. I'll have another giveaway very soon!
