    Interpretations Knit Along

    Interpretations KAL

Interpretations are a series of knitting collections by two well-known designers, Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki. These two remarkable women formed a friendship despite the vast distance between them as they live on opposite sides of the world; Joji lives in Argentina and Veera in Finland. They found a connection through their love of knitting and design.

Each volume of Interpretations, of which there are now four contain 12 knitting patterns from accessories to garments that draw their inspiration from six words chosen by Joji and Veera. With the recent release of Interpretations Volume 4, I thought it would be quite nice to host a knit-along.

Knit-alongs are an excellent way to make new friends. Our KAL will be hosted in the Tangled Yarn Ravelry Group; it’s a warm and friendly group that are hugely supportive and encouraging of one another. Many great friendships have developed from previous KALs and are still going strong.

The KAL starts Easter weekend and ends Midsummer Eve which is Friday 20th June.

You can knit anything from any of the Interpretations Books. There are lots of patterns to chose from including accessories, shawls and garments; hence the extended timeframe to allow you to complete a sweater if you like. We stock the books, but you can also purchase and download the patterns individually on Ravelry.

You can submit more than one FO to the finished object’s thread for a chance to win a prize. I will announce the prizes closer to the start date in the Ravelry group.

    KAL RULES

    • Yarn used must be purchased from Tangled Yarn.
    • Cast on must be Friday 14th April or after this date.
    • To be eligible to win a prize you must submit a picture of your finished project to the FO thread in the Ravelry group by Friday 20th June.
