Let me introduce you to Woolstok, Blue Sky Fibers premium pure wool. It arrived in late September to a warm welcome here at Tangled Yarn. A light worsted weight, Woolstok is spun from 100% fine Peruvian Highland Wool. It is gently plied to give it lofty lightness and a soft hand.
Rich in character, Woolstok offers excellent stitch definition whether you knit or crochet. It’s available in wide range of mélange colours which have been developed by Blue Sky Fibers by dyeing the fibre before the yarn is spun. There are in fact 21 colours from soft greys to warm reds, deep blues, and pale pastels.
Woolstok comes in two weights; 50g and 150g. The full 21 colour palette are available in 50g skeins while the five of the neutrals can be purchased in 150g skeins making this ideal for larger projects.
There's also a cool hat kit which includes all 21 colours of Woolstok in 5g mini skeins. The Knit Kit on a String has proven to be a real hit as we have sold out three times already, but thankfully we have just had another delivery and will be giving one reader the chance to win this knitting kit later in the blog post, so do keep reading.
Pattern support as you'd expect from Blue Sky Fibers is excellent. From easy knits suitable for beginner knitters such as the Cromwell Pullover, a classic raglan pullover knit in stocking stitch to more textured knitting in Endless Wrap and Tonka Bay Toque.
Indie designers have also taken with Woolstok I especially wanted to share with you Be Stole My Heart by Cheryl Faust. Cheryl has designed an oversized cosy textured wrap; she has used three colours of Woolstok; Midnight Sea, Golden Meadow and Highland Fleece. I love the designer's use of colour in this project, and the textured stitches she has used I feel it brings to life the best elements of Woolstok.
I'm giving one lucky reader the chance to sample Woolstok for themselves, for your chance to win the Knit Kit on a String simply leave a comment below telling us which is your favourite Woolstok colour.
