Fettle is a basic and easy edge to edge jacket knitted in stocking stitch with a 2x2 rib. The yarn is held double throughout to create fuller fabric. The back is worked from the bottom up with a deep 2x2 rib with a decorative rib stitch at the centre and armhole edges. The fronts have the same deep welt which conceals pockets and wide 2x2 front bands. There is short row shaping at the shoulders, which are finished with a three needle cast/bind off. The boxy sleeves are picked up and knitted towards the wide 2x2 cuffs.
