Black Elephant Sport are hand-dyed by Petra just across the Pennines from us in Sheffield. Her range of colours is inspired by everyday life, architecture, paintings, music and her current mood, Petra's colours are breathtaking!
Black Elephant Sport is a soft 3ply superwash merino with a high twist and lots of bounce. This base takes dye beautifully giving you vibrant saturated colour. This yarn is perfect for your knitted accessories and sweaters to be worn close to the skin.
As with all hand-dyed yarn, each skein is unique. If you are planning a large knitting project, it is best to alternate skeins to ensure an even appearance of the colour.
