Puyu means cloud in Quechua, the native language of the Incas. The best way I can describe Puyu would be it's just like a billowing cloud. A blend of baby alpaca and mulberry silk make this yarn exceptionally soft and warm.
Amano Puyu has an interesting tubular construction, the baby alpaca is introduced by high air pressure into a cage of Mulberry silk. This technique gives a light-weight chunky-gauge yarn made with alpaca.
The colour palette is nurtural with nine shades to choose from all inspired by the natural colours found in the alpaca herds that live in the Peruvian Andes.
