Mrs Jekyll & Little Hyde
An innovative hat knitting pattern by La Maison Rililie.
Mrs Jekyll & Little Hyde is a reversible hat in light fingering weight wool that will still keep you warm, because of its two layers. The beret style hat can be worn either on it’s feminine lace side with the lining peeping discreetly through, or on the sporty side with narrow stripes on bolder contrast colour and tiny little eyelets near the brim.
Both sides share the same ribbing, which is worked at the start in only one layer to reduce any bulk near the face. The brim is attached seamlessly to both the lace and the stripe hat, using a simple technique that is explained in a photo tutorial.
Sizes: S (M, L); brim: 38 (42, 45)cm; body: 48 (53, 56)cm; length: 22 (22, 25.5)cm

The sample has been knit in Holst Garn Supersoft, 1 ball of Oatmeal for the main colour (MC) and a ball of Topaz for the contrast colour. There are endless colour combinations...
Tip: It is best to choose a contrast colour that is different than one’s haircolour, so that it will pop through the lace and not look like it’s just the hair underneath the lace…
