Ravie Poncho [Knitting Pattern - PDF]

Poncho's make a great addition to your wardrobe. They are comfortable to wear with many different outfits and flattering to every body shape while at the same time keeping you nicely warm on chilly days!

Inese Sang designed Ravie for Rosy Green's Cheeky Merino Joy which works wonderfully with the smock stitch border. An easy knitting project but with enough variety to keep even the more experienced knitter interested. The smock border is finished off with an i-cord edge while the rest of the poncho is knit in garter stitch.

Measurements: Width: 47 [51, 54.5] cm (18.75 [20.25, 21.75] in), Length (folded/seamed): 79.5 [86, 86] cm (31.75 [34.5, 34.5] in)
Yarn: 4 (4, 5) skeins of Rosy Green Wool - Cheeky Merino Joy (100% softest organic Merino) 320 m (350 yds) / 100 g 
Needles: 3.5 mm (US 4) 80 cm (32 in) circular needle, 3.5 mm (US 4) double-pointed needle.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: stitch markers, darning needle.
Gauge: 24 sts x 27.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) over Garter Stitch with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles after blocking. Smock Stitch section (46 sts) measures 16 cm (6.5 in) wide.
