Vintage Patchwork Blanket Crochet Kit
Inspired by hand pieced fabric patchwork quilts, the Vintage Patchwork Blanket explores the idea of combining different patterns using the iconic hexagon shape. The design is brought up to date by accentuating the geometric aspect of this patterning with the alternating stripes of mono-coloured motifs. A simple border is a nod to the binding technique found on many traditional quilts.
Designed by Sarah Hazell for Tangled Yarn using Erika Knight’s Vintage Wool, which has the look of a “homespun” yarn. It has a soft handle and wonderful twist to the plied fibres which are spun from the fleece of the Masham sheep in Yorkshire. An ideal choice for crochet.
The pattern is supplied as a PDF download; you will have the option to download at the checkout as well as receiving an email with a link to download.
You will also need a 4.5mm (US7) and 5mm (US H/8) crochet hooks, a locking stitch marker and a tapestry needle for seaming.
Finished size: 102cm (40.25") square.
