We all need a raglan sweater to reach for on colder days to keep us warm. Iuvat was designed by Tirill Ilebekk Hansen, especially for Rosy Green's Merino d'Arles.
Knit seamlessly from the top down in the round Iuvat in a minimalist ribbed design It is an easy knitting project and ideal for a knitter looking to knit their first raglan sweater. The neckline starts with a long-tail cast-on and is followed by the raglan section, which is created with right and left-leaning increases. Then the sleeve stitches are placed on hold. First, the body and then the blouson sleeves are simply knitted straight. The hems are double folded. The pattern also describes two more variations for the neckline - a semi-turtle and a classic ribbed neckband. While knitting from top to bottom, the body and sleeves can be tried on and adjusted to the desired length.
