Veselie is a real feel-good cardigan designed by Fiona Munro for Rosy Green's Merino d'Arles. It's a classic, timeless cut that provides ever new styling possibilities - whether casual or elegant. The jacket is worn openly, and its V-shaped neckline looks especially beautiful with dresses and skirts. And who doesn't love pockets!
Veselie is knitted seamlessly making this an easy knitting project. First, the body is worked flat from bottom to top up to the armholes. The left front, back and right front are knitted separately. Then the shoulder seams are joined using a 3-needle bind-off. Finally, pick up stitches at the armholes and knit the sleeves in the round from top to bottom. This way, you can try them on to see if the length fits. The subtle diamond pattern is made with just knit and purl stitches. Instructions are both written and charted.
