  • Kanshoku 感触 [Knitting Pattern - PDF]

    8 items left

With its softly flowing silhouette, the cardigan Kanshoku 感触, designed by Ririko, swirls around you like waves. Its clean and modern shape adds a subtle and sophisticated elegance to any of your outfits. The wavy drape front panels invite you to wrap them cosily around you, as the cardigan is worn openly. The raglan sleeves and front panels are worked in simple stockinette stitch, while the delicate Daisy Stitch pattern on the back keeps your knitting interesting. Thanks to the beautiful stitch definition of Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy, it shows very beautifully. A subdued colour, like Cedar, emphasises the gentle look.

With compelling shaping and a pretty Daisy Stitch back panel, Kanshoku 感触 offers plenty of knitting interest for advanced knitters. It is knitted top-down, seamlessly in one piece. The neckline begins with an invisible provisional cast-on; raglan increases are worked to create the yoke section. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold whilst the body is completed and then picked up and knitted in the round. Knitting from top to bottom allows you to try on the cardigan as you knit so that the body and sleeves can be adjusted precisely to your prefered length. Short rows are worked to shape the front body panels creating the beautifully draped silhouette.
