PetiteKnit's Saga Sweater is worked from the top down in a texture pattern. First, the top part of the back yoke is worked back and forth on the needle with increases. Then, the shoulders are worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the back yoke. The work is then joined on a circular needle to be worked in the round while stitches are picked up and knitted for the sleeves, and the rest of the yoke is worked in the round with raglan increases. The body and the sleeves are worked in the round on a circular needle. At the end, a rib neck edge is worked along the neck opening.
