Pegulhal

6 items left
  • Retrosaria Pegulhal is a breed-specific yarn spun from the fleeces of Bordaleira da Serra da Estrela and Portuguese Merino. This is a fingering weight dyed in the yarn for knitters who like non-superwash wool, it's ideal for stranded colourwork.

Pegulhal will bloom and soften considerably after being washed. Retrosaria recommends washing and blocking your swatch to determine gauge before you cast on your project.

As will all Retrosaria yarns, Pegulhal is made from the wool of free-range sheep. Mulesing is not practised in Portugal. Not bleached and non-superwash.

Grown, scoured, milled and dyed in Portugal.
