Gifts to Give a Knitter!

December 04, 2013

It's that time of year again! We knitters have been busying ourselves over the last few months with knitting Christmas gifts for all our friends and family. Some of us will cut it fine and will no doubt work late into Christmas Eve finishing off those last few things! And what better way to show our appreciation of all the work they have put in my treating them to something special at this festive time!
So here are the things that have made on to my Christmas list...

A copy of Ysolda Teague's new book, The Rhinebeck Sweater

I'd like to make Diamondback Mitts from Stephen West's Made for Movement, so a skein of Juno Milly DK in Raisin and Boudoir would be great!

I'm a keen sock knitter, so I'd like Coop Knits Sock by Rachel Coopey, some Addi Bamboo DPNs, oh and a couple of skeins of sock yarn! SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock would be perfect!

One of my favourite DK weight yarns right now is Erika Knight British Blue Wool. I'd like to knit myself a One by One, Two by Two Scarf, I've knit this many times for others but I love my own in Iced Gem, Fawn, Mouse, Gift and Classic. The pattern is free to download from Churchmouse.

No avid knitter can be without the right tools, Addi Click Bamboo Knitting Needles are right up my street, stitch markers and blocking wires would be ideal! Oh and a Yarn Swift so I can turn all those yummy skeins into neat little cakes ready to knit with!

There is such an amazing choice of gifts for us knitters, but if your looking and are still unsure there's always the Tangled Yarn Gift Card.
