Last year saw the arrival of Nurturing Fibres Eco Cotton to Tangled Yarn. Eco Cotton is a 100% cotton yarn which hales from South Africa just outside Cape Town where it is hand-dyed by Carle Dehning and her team.
It's proving to be very popular among many of you especially those that crochet, and it's not hard to see why. The construction is two plies of yarn twisted into a lovely rounded yarn that works up beautifully to a DK gauge; it doesn't split, it's incredibly soft and comes in a wide chose of colours including variegated colourways.
Granny Pansy Throw by Be Inspired showcases Nurturing Fibres Eco-Cotton. It uses five coordinating colours Orchid, Seashell, Picked Ginger, Mint and Watershed to create beautiful flower hexagons that crocheted together with a one colour border. What's great is there no sewing involved!
I'm giving one person the chance to win the complete crochet kit for making Granny Pansy Throw, which includes twenty balls of Eco Cotton and a printed copy of the pattern. You just need to add a crochet hook, and you're ready to go!
For your chance to win leave a comment below telling us how long you've been crocheting and who taught you. The winner will be selected at random and announced here on the blog on Friday 7th April.
You can also download your copy of the pattern, just click the image below.
